Hey! So I printed it with Mixam, I chose their booklet option and staple binding (to help keep costs down) and went with their "Digest" size (5.5"×8.5") on 100lb Satin paper (it has a slight coating, but it barely has any reflection which is nice for viewing and produces good contrast), and I designed everything myself using Canva.
Thank you for sharing that. I’ve been looking for hands-on ways to make a zine. Totally would have discounted Canva had you not mentioned it right now. Great tip!
I'm on a very tight budget so I work with what I can afford. I make handmade zines at home as well with materials from the dollar store, an office printer, and Canva!
Got it. On the one hand, having budget constraints is frustrating. On the other hand, it sounds like you’re massively creative with what you have. That’s very cool!
It can be frustrating at times (or most of the time haha), but I enjoy limitations and seeing what I can do within them (and one day when I have more tools at my disposal I'll be ready to use them)!
If you can do a little with these constraints, imagine how far you can go with the full toolbox at your disposal in the future. It's easy to be tempted into waiting until circumstances are perfect to get started, otherwise. I've definitely fallen into that mindset in the past. Our conversation was a good reminder to avoid doing that again!
This looks amazing. I definitely want a copy. I will send you an email. You picked two amazing mentors. I regularly look at Gossage‘s books for inspiration and to learn from.
Just discovered you today while I wait to head out of the apartment. Love the work you've put together here!
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read and look at my work, happy to have you here!
What a great project this has been. The zine worked out very well.
Thank you Marcel ☺️🤍
This is incredibly beautiful! Congratulations on your release!
Thank you very much! 😊
That's a great looking zine! Good to know Mixam gives a good replication of mono work.
They do, and they actually have a greyscale option for printing which is nice!
This looks lovely! Can you share where you printed it or how you made it?

Looks great
Thank you 😊
Amazing, dude. So happy for you that this project now lives in a tangible form :’)
Thank you my dude!!! It's nice to finally let it go 😊
Excellent. How was the neutrality of the B&W printing from Mixam? Looks good online.
I found the print quality to be very close to what I saw on my monitor and honestly I am very happy with their services all around!
Looks great ! I really hope there will be a copy left for me :)
Thank you Laurence!
Excellent work.
Thank you 😊
